What it's about
Analyst role within the private infrastructure team in Houston, TX, covering all aspects of private infrastructure investing including primary commitments, secondary investments, and co- investments. This includes sourcing, assessing, executing and monitoring private infrastructure transactions with a main focus on infrastructure secondaries and co-investments alongside other infrastructure GPs.
Responsibilities:
  • Perform quantitative and qualitative due diligence on prospective investments
  • Undertake financial modeling, develop investment theses, and coordinate interaction with service providers and/or financial sponsors
  • Support in the preparation of investment memoranda for Partners Group's Investment Committee
  • Contribute to investment monitoring, product reporting, market research, internal requests, and marketing efforts of the firm

What we expect
For this challenging position, we are looking for a person who works well in an entrepreneurial organization, someone who is a self-starter and possesses strong numerical, networking and organization skills.
  • Strong academic credentials (bachelor's degree or higher), preferably with a coursework emphasis on Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, and/or Engineering
  • At least 1-2 years of relevant work experience, preferably including a background in investment banking, consulting, or similar. Experience in infrastructure markets is a plus
  • Excellent analytical, interpersonal, and written communication skills and a strong desire to learn and succeed
  • Thorough knowledge of Word and Excel (financial modeling skills required) and the ability to conduct research. A modeling test will be part of the interview process.
  • Be proactive on assignments/projects and demonstrate initiative
  • Able to complete projects on time and accurately and must be able to multi-task
  • Strong work ethic, professional demeanor, and desire to work in a global team
