The opportunity

Zurich’s Protection Sales team are going through an exciting period of growth and as a result we are looking for a sales support/coordinator to join our team. In this varied and dynamic role, you will help shape and develop the operational direction of the UK Protection Sales team.
Whilst this is not an external customer facing role, you will be part of a team supporting the Protection Consultants in delivering for our extensive Adviser customer base.
This role is available part-time, job-share or full time. This is because we want the best people for our roles, and we recognise that sometimes those people aren’t available full-time.

What will you be doing?

Well, you can expect no two days to be the same. You’ll be working with your team and the wider Zurich Protection Distribution Team daily. You will provide a standout service experience for customers and stakeholders and be responsible for delivering quality and timely solutions for them.
Some of your responsibilities include:
  • Organise information according to procedures by filing, data entry, checking/matching data, etc. to ensure accurate records are maintained on a day-to-day basis.
  • Follow procedures to ensure adherence to the company's Business Continuity and compliance policies.
  • Support managers in collation of team level MI to support team objectives.
  • Organisation of intermediary webinars & events, e.g. Product Webinar programmes, workshops
  • Organisation of internal meetings and events, e.g. team meetings, training
  • Secretarial support, including diary management, hotel and travel arrangements, booking meetings
  • Work with manager/team to manage, expenses and invoices appropriately on a monthly basis
  • Work with manager to deliver team governance, compliance and Competency Development Framework requirements.

What are we looking for?

  • Strong Office365 skills, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to priorities own workload.
  • Previous experience in sales support and/or supporting business operations within a fast-moving environment desirable but not essential.
  • Team player and good communication skills are key.
  • Ability to work under pressure.

It doesn’t matter if you haven’t worked in Insurance or Financial Services before, what we really need is a willingness to learn and to contribute. Some experience in a similar role would be beneficial, but not essential. What we really need are your strengths; problem resolution, organisation and working across numerous tasks simultaneously. You are a self-starter who enjoys working with others, engender enthusiasm every day and bring fresh thinking to our ambitious growth plans.
In this role, communication will be key. You should be comfortable making decisions using both data and your own judgement to provide the best outcomes for Zurich and our customers, as this is what is most important to us.
We’d like you to be happy to challenge processes and decisions using your attention to detail. You’ll naturally adapt your style to different workloads and pressures and be able to think on your feet.
