HEINEKEN Brewery Operations Leaders Programme – Starting September 2020 for 24 months
Base: £28,000 plus some great benefits (35 days holiday, BUPA, monthly Beer or Cider allowance and a double matched pension just to name just a few)
Our main purpose as an organization is to brew top-quality beers and ciders that will help others celebrate Enjoyment of Life. We love our Brands, we absolutely do, and the quality has to be perfect – we like to innovate and create not only new flavours for our consumers but also new ways of delivering those Brands through a supply chain that is considerate of People and Planet. You might have read that a lot too – but we really mean it, our Values are Enjoyment, Quality and Respect.
You might be interested in our focus on Inclusion and Diversity – we've set up a network run by our colleagues and it is gaining traction as we try new things. We've also got more than 30 Mental Health Champions – who are ready to lend an ear to other colleagues who may be going through tough times.
We're looking for applicants who have recently graduated this year or on track to achieve a 2:1 degree by September 2020 in Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Science, Business Management, Logistics, or Brewing & Distilling.
Although your degree may be technically focussed, are you looking for more of a future leadership programme? Then we'd love to hear from you!
As a World-class Brewing Organisation, we are looking for graduates to join our 2-year Leadership programme. This offers structured rotations within multiple areas or functions (Brewing, Quality, Engineering, Logistics, Packaging, Health & Safety or Continuous Improvement) within a brewery where you will have an opportunity to learn and develop with the Brewery Director as your direct mentor.
Our graduate opportunities are based at one of our three main UK operational production sites: Tadcaster (near York), Manchester or Hereford, the global home of cider. You'll need to be robust and adventurous, ready to relocate to one of those locations and give it your best!
Why pick us?
"I started in Hereford on the Brewery Operations Graduate scheme in September 2017. My first project was the development and improvement of chemical safety procedures which is being rolled out across the UK – real projects that make a difference to the business from the get-go! I had a great year in Packaging working alongside Operators and Shift Managers before moving to Manchester as a Utilities Engineer. I am now back in Hereford as a Shift Manager in Cider Production. It has been a fantastic 2 years with endless opportunities and exposure as part of a big business. There is genuine development in people and a great framework for transitioning from university to working life." Stuart, Shift Manager and former graduate
Along with your CV, please attach a covering letter addressing the following: in less than 200 words, What are the characteristics and experience that you already have that make you a great future leader (please note – your covering letter is part of our screening process so a generic one won't cut the mustard !!!)
Application close Friday 29th November 2019 – but don't leave it to the last minute and make us read thousands of CVs on the day of closing please!!!!
The next stage for successful applicants will be a pre-recorded video interview (ours are a bit more relaxed and fun than others!), then a 1-to-1 video interview with a senior leader before the final selected candidates will be invited to attend an assessment day in Manchester on 11th February 2020. Every year we organise a social event at one of our STAR Pubs on the night before the assessment centre so we can all meet in a more relaxed environment over a couple of drinks - so worth putting in your diary now.
On commencement of employment, you must have permission to work in the UK
