We’re looking for a BI software Engineer to join our Customer Contact Tech team.
Whether you join us as an Associate, Mid, Senior or Lead Engineer, there’s plenty of opportunities to join our strong cross-functional Agile team, helping drive quality and technology forward. We are a team of 400 engineers (and counting!) and our team lives and breathes the core ASOS values, to be authentic, brave and creative in everything we do. We use some of the most innovative, cutting-edge technology solutions, including SQL, .NET (C#) & ASP.NET (MVC, Web API) and we create code that adheres to SOLID principles.
You will be a BI Software Engineer with commitment to deliver high-quality well-tested software with proven experience of delivering complex and highly performing software systems within an Agile environment. You are the heart and soul of the software engineering team building your skills, learning best practices and aiding the wider teams deliver our great product to the ASOS customer.
As part of the Customer Care Platform team within Tech, you will be delivering high-tech, innovative software solutions to enable the Customer Care function to operate as efficiently as possible and in turn provide a best-in-class experience to our customers.

ASOS Customer Care

ASOS operates at significant scale. We deliver to over 200 countries and in our peak sales periods we can process over 30 orders per second. We are passionate about providing the best customer experience so this means building systems that are performant, resilient and scalable.
ASOS has customer care staff operating across over 6 sites globally 24/7, 365. Site locations include Leavesden, London, Glasgow, Lisbon, Vladimir and Bangor.
Customer Care also works closely with Analytics, UX/UI, and Infrastructure, to build the ultimate experience for both our customers and our internal Customer Care Advisors, using cutting edge Cloud technologies.

We’d like to meet someone with:

  • High proficiency in SQL with advanced knowledge of Stored Procedures, Views, CTEs
  • Working knowledge of TDD, BDD, Integration & Performance Testing
  • Exposure to Cloud technologies e.g. Microsoft Azure
  • Good knowledge of ETL (eg SSIS, ADF)
  • Working knowledge of Data Warehouse principles
  • Excellent knowledge of data visualisation principles and skills, especially the use of Power BI
  • Agile development background (SCRUM preferred)
  • Good programming experience in C#, .Net, VB.
  • Exceptional analytical skills, problem solving skills and excellent communications skills
  • Preferable to have experience of using GIT, Team City, Octopus and VSTS

Greater London House, Mornington Crescent, London
One day a week in Leavesden, Watford office (additional days as required)

What hours will I work?

9.00am – 5.30pm (Monday to Thursday)
9.00am – 5.00pm (Friday)
