1. Position Summary
Member of the Global Online Leadership team, reports directly to the Vice President, Online Travel Companies. Full P&L responsibility over Online Travel Agencies revenues and EBITDA for the Americas (North America and Latin-America)
Responsible for defining and implementing the Amadeus Online Travel strategy, commercial, product and operational plan, represent the Amadeus brand and values in the industry and the assigned countries within the cluster and drive high levels of employee engagement.
2. Job Duties
Business management:
Implements the business strategy through the management of an appropriate structure, resources and activities, with full P&L responsibility for Online segment.
Manages day-to-day management of the business, e.g. balancing delivering short-term commitments, providing reliable forecasts and building a business plans to deliver results for the future.
Strategic Leadership:
Translates the global business strategy into a cluster-level strategy for the Americas.
Responsible for the growth of the market share and associated sales, as well as the retention of the existing customer base.
Contributes to developing and defining the global online travel companies segment strategy and owns assigned strategic initiatives as part of the global Online Leadership team."
Commercial Responsibility:
Accountable for all commercial activities for the Online segment in the Americas, including sales, account management and IT account management.
Negotiates distribution deals directly with the most important customers, ensuring profitable growth and alignment with the segment commercial strategy, balancing short term/long term profitability and customer relationship.
Responsible for developing a new customer opportunity pipeline.
Responsible for developing profitable and growing existing customer portfolio.
Responsible for developing non-air revenue streams (Hotels, Rail, Cars etc...) with existing or new customers.
Drives Pre-Sales activities, including business consulting, sales engineering, and customer project management.
Territory Alignment:
Active participation as part of the Americas leadership team for business reviews, company activities and employee townhalls.
Ensures that the territory views of the Americas are represented in the global strategies across transverse topics.
People Leadership:
Effectively manage the cross-functional Online Travel team, encompassing Customer Solutions, Commercial Operations, Extended Account Teams (Delivery, Customer Services etc) and Support Functions (Finance, People & Culture etc).
Provide overall people leadership by living the Amadeus values and behaviors, ensure high levels of employee engagement and drive compliance with the Amadeus operating model."
3. Qualifications/Experience
Education
Business or Engineering Degree. MBA and/or Master in Software Engineering is a plus.
Relevant work experience
Minimum 15 years experience in Technology/travel environment, with extensive experience in fully P&L responsible and / or General Management roles.
Strong leadership profile with ability to manage a multi-functional, multi-location team.
Significant international business experience beyond USA.
Comfortable with public speaking, media and presentations.
Business understanding
Posseses reputation/credibility and established network of contacts in the Americas travel industry - Online Travel prefered. Air Travel experience not required.
Demonstrated entrepreneurial/business approach with a thorough understanding of the requirements of a customer service driven organisation.
Good understanding of Amadeus products and services in a plus
Well established network of contacts within the travel and IT industry would be a plus

Fluent in English, Spanish a plus
Specific knowledge
General management, Online Travel Agencies industry landscape, Strong understanding of P&L management
Other
Track-record of revitalizing organizations (turn-around), Extensive international work experience
