Description
Technical Writers within the Product Documentation & Communication team work to capture, organize, and manage FactSet's product documentation and communication. By leveraging personal knowledge, our team transforms information into useful external and internal content for all FactSet users.
The Product Documentation & Communication team is currently looking to hire additional technical writers to partner with Product Developers globally and better support our many product offerings.

Responsibilities:

  • Become an expert on assigned FactSet products and services in order to create and deliver high-quality documentation, communications, and other learning opportunities to our internal and external users
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts on other FactSet teams throughout the product development process to research, gather information, and provide high-quality deliverables for each assigned project
  • Write, edit, and publish a variety of online help documentation for new and existing products within FactSet’s proprietary content management system
  • Develop, design, maintain and enhance print materials in the form of product tipsheets
  • Develop, write, and edit client communications announcing new products, as well as enhancements and changes to existing products
  • Assist with capturing, organizing, and managing FactSet's proprietary corporate knowledge by updating FactSet’s Intranet
  • Assist support teams by editing client-facing, instructional documents and ensuring the consistency of our brand, tone, and style throughout all materials

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • Excellent writing skills with the ability to present information in a clear and creative manner
  • A high degree of motivation, strong organizational skills, and excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to efficiently handle and prioritize multiple projects
  • Strong interest in writing, finance, and technology
  • Ability to work as part of a team to identify and develop new, creative ways to disseminate information
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and professionalism
  • Ability to easily adapt to changing priorities
  • Ability to work independently

Desired Skills:

  • Experience with desktop publishing software, HTML authoring tools, and Web development tools
  • Experience using FactSet products
