About the Position:

Customer Certification Lab (CCL) Lead for Large scale customers

Must have Skills/Experience/Background:

  • Internet Protocols: TCP/UDP/IPv4/IPv6
  • Domain Knowledge: Service Provider, Enterprise and Data Centre/Cloud Technologies
  • Networking Protocols: BGP, OSPF, ARP, VLANS, MPLS L3VPN, L2VPN, EVPN, VxLAN and other Tunnelling Technologies
  • Test Knowledge: Prepare Test Plans, Test Execution, Define Network Topologies, Understand Complex Customer Networks, Good Automation Skills
  • Understanding of Cloud Concept, Private and Public Cloud, Design Fundamentals
  • Should be able to adjust and work in fast pace Customer project environment.

Desired Skills/ Experience/ Background:

  • CI / CD knowledge
  • Virtualization and Hypervisor Technologies: ESXi, KVM
  • Working with Field/Sales Engineers and Customers to Analyze Customer Deployment Architectures, Network Topologies and Test Plans.
  • Extracting Customer Use Cases from requirements and test plans.
  • Working with Development Functional and System Test Teams to analyze test coverage and gaps.
  • Building System Test Labs for functionality, performance and scale.
  • Device Level configuration for routers and switches.
  • Writing System Test Plans and Creating Automation Scripts.
  • Performing RCA Analysis to identify Use Case Coverage gaps.
  • Test Automation Frameworks, tools and scripting languages (Perl, Python,Robot framework)
  • Clear communication on test results and gaps
  • Experience in test labs for networking infrastructure.
  • Preferably have previous experience with JUNOS
  • Networking Certifications are a plus.
  • Familiar and Hands-On with testing tools (Breaking Point, Ixia, Spirent, etc.)
  • Written and verbal communication skills.
  • Collaborative team player, relationship building skills.
  • BS degree or equivalent experience.

Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Short Description for External Candidates
  • Lead multiple testing efforts and test topologies, which could include scale testing, migration testing, certification testing and end to end solution testing.
  • Work with Field/Sales Engineers and Customers to Analyze Customer Deployment Architectures, Network Topologies and Test Plans.
  • Participate in design and information gathering workshops with the Customer to understand the Customer’s existing network design and technical requirements of new network designs.
  • Extract Customer Use Cases from requirements and test plans, propose and architect new testbed topologies or redesign existing testbeds based on evolving requirements.
  • Work with Development Functional and System Test Teams to analyze test coverage and gaps.
  • Design test plans based on customer solution requirements.
  • Lead execution of test cases and automation scripts.
  • Produce a written summary report of the status of Design projects, equipment and network problems on a regular basis to the Customer.
  • Identify, troubleshoot and document issues and work with appropriate Juniper engineering resources to close problems to customer’s satisfaction.
  • Assist in creating Test Automation Frameworks, identifying tools and scripting languages.
  • Hold technical meetings with the Customer to discuss equipment and network problems, and to provide case status updates, including the reasons for any problems encountered and the workarounds and/or solutions that are being tried.
  • Communicate effectively with customer, account team and other internal stakeholders on overall testing and project status.
  • Participate in post-analysis efforts to continually identify test escapes (CFDs) and enhance test plans.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • The candidate will have achieved a level of higher education (Bachelor or Master degree in electrical engineering, computer science or equivalent)
  • 8+ years of working experience in a test QA or network support role supporting large Service Provider IP networks
  • Solid working experience with routing and switching technologies: TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, ISIS, MPLS (L2 & L3 VPN), RSVP, LDP, Multicast protocols (IGMP, PIM), Switching technologies (VLAN/Trunking, STP,RSTP,VSTP)
  • Working experience with traffic generators and network protocol analysis tools
  • Strong problem-solving skills, applicable to large and complex network scenarios
  • Strong customer management and customer service skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Language skills: English (fluent – verbal and written)
  • Diplomacy and good customer-facing skills to understand and effectively address sensitive customer situations


Preferred Qualifications:Candidates with experience in Juniper Products like PTX, MX, QFX, EX will be given preference
  • JNCIE certified personnel would have a distinct advantage
  • Working experience with Linux, FreeBSD, Scripting languages (Python)>
