Customer Experience Agent - future opportunities hos A.P. Møller - Maersk

We are currently looking for enthusiastic applicants with experience in customer service for our upcoming potential future positions in Rijeka, Croatia. These positions will contribute towards connecting and simplifying our customers’ supply chain process.

Purpose of this position is to be responsible for owning/managing the customer experience of customers, following up with vendors on trip activities ensuring smooth service delivery for customers for relevant modalities such as rail, truck, barge, etc. On the customer service side the person will be responsible for identifying issues proactively, building strong relationship with customers and identifying solutions which benefits both Maersk and the customer.

Key responsibilities

  • Having customer’s business Acumen and being able to know what factors drives the decision making.
  • Understanding of external factors impacting Customer’s supply Chain & understand their sense of

urgency, service needs, drivers and desires.
  • Being able to align with customer expectations upfront & to be able to respond with suggested solutions
  • Being the primary point of contact for own customers and ensure smooth execution of the end to end

shipment lifecycle, including the inland delivery, by working closely with the customer as well as internal
  • Proactively tracking shipments and notifying customers of relevant deviations from the transport plan (ocean

and inland), including potential solutions or alternatives.
  • Improving the asset utilization of key transport modes including contracted rail and truck networks
  • Building strong and collaborative relationship with vendors
  • Being fully responsible for customer satisfaction
  • Actively seeking out and acting on continuous improvement opportunities both in relation to customers and internal / external stakeholders

We are looking for
  • Experience in Customer Service (preferably in the shipping/logistics sector)
  • Fluency in English and Croatian is mandatory.
  • Strong communication skills and proactive approach.
  • High degree of empathy, assertiveness and confidence.
  • Open-minded and creative attitude with willingness to promote change.
  • Personal ability to build strong relationships with others.
  • IT skills and Microsoft office package knowledge.>
