The Control department in Aarhus is looking for a part time student worker to join the team 15-20 hours per week.

Power solutions Engineering is an independent business unit within Vestas Wind Systems A/S responsible for product design including full profit and loss accountability for our products.
Load and Control is part of Power solutions Engineering being responsible for delivering design loads and advanced control solutions to our products under all conditions. Delivering control solutions ensuring optimal performance and furthermore delivering power curves and noise levels in new product development, technology development, innovation projects, during product improvement initiatives and during sales support. The responsibility spans from early engagement with product management to strategic development of new turbine control technologies ensuring an optimal cost of energy.
The department consists of three sub departments with a total of 55 employees.
Your role as student worker will be to support a range of the ongoing activities in the Control department. You will especially be involved in the work related to improving our internal tool chain, hereunder
- Development of in-house tools for improving the daily work in the departments
- Implementation of generic updates in our Matlab/simulink based code to ensure improved performance
- Analysis of simulation and field data for our wind turbines
- Support in the development and tuning of control algorithms
We expect that you have
- A study on a relevant scientific or engineering education, e.g. within control, signal processing, mechanical engineering or similar
- Experience with MATLAB/Simulink and potentially other
You may further have :
- Knowledge of dynamic mechanical and/or hydraulic systems
- Knowledge of aerodynamics and aero elasticity
